Not a lot of people notice it as much, but the score to the 2000’s pop-culture phenomena Shrek is actually one of the most brilliant pieces of film scoring that we’ve heard in recent years. Some in-depth YouTube essays have already pointed it out, but Gregson-Williams & Powell’s score to Shrek is a very fitting accompaniment to both the soundtrack and animation featured on screen.

With the tracks “Fairytale” and “Welcome to Duloc” on this one, anyone would be surprised with the pleasant listen that comes from the score to Shrek. This RSD release is limited to only 2,000 copies worldwide on neon green colored vinyl, and comes highly recommended!
