Lady Bird: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Limited Edition White Vinyl)

Aside from his notable work in crafting memorable scores for movies like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Synecdoche: New York, Jon Brion’s original score for 2017’s Lady Bird is a strikingly perfect accompaniment to one of the best coming-of-age films of the past two decades. His compositions for the flick are playful, yet ultimately memorable––grasping a proper hold on what it means to be a 17 year old girl figuring life out in Sacramento, California.

From his use of the piano, strings, chimes and some light percussion, it’s a subtle yet fitting score that stands out enough without stealing the spotlight from the film’s tremendous performances. Definitely recommended for cinephiles and the main characters of their own stories!
