As James Gunn's swan song to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 puts out all the stops for the team's final ride––and this includes their final killer compilation of a soundtrack.

Featuring Radiohead, Earth, Wind, & Fire, Florence + The Machine, Beastie Boys, Alice Cooper and so much more, this eclectic soundtrack was (once again) carefully curated by Gunn to encapsulate the film's storyline into songs. Of course, the integration of music with the action works perfectly in tracks like "No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn", yet the film's emotional beats are enhanced further by the use of "Dog Days Are Over" in one of the best needle drops in recent memory.

With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Gunn proves himself to be one of the rare masters of soundtrack compilation among the likes of Quentin Tarantino, Edgar Wright, and Cameron Crowe. This compilation is a great mix of the old and new, and it perfectly deserves a spot as one of our favorite soundtracks of the year. Highly recommended!
