In a film filled with intense action sequences filmed in one continuous shot, it was of the utmost importance that the music to the Academy Award nominated flick 1917 perfectly matched every frame choreographed by Sam Mendes & Roger Deakins. Luckily, the final result was a collection of compositions by Thomas Newman—who was able to craft a riveting score that was worthy of it’s multiple nominations for best score in last year’s award shows.

Newman’s compositions take us back to the trenches with gripping beats that place us in the shoes of the film’s two leads.
